SIDNEY WAGNER MCCLINTON

Over the past fifteen years, Sidney Wagner McClinton has owned and operated a full-service interior design firm specializing in custom residential projects. Finding inspiration both through travel and in her coastal landscape at home, Sidney artfully combines bold color and rich texture to give her projects a unique signature. Appreciating the importance of high and low furnishings, Sidney incorporates a thoughtful blend into each project. By scouring antique stores and flea markets, Sidney adds that perfect, one-of-a-kind found object to give her projects a collected look. By combining these unique, vintage furnishings, original artwork and one-of-a-kind finds with bold color, graphic patterns and rich texture, Sidney keeps her designs fresh and modern.

Sidney previously owned a carefully curated shop + design studio, Eclectic, located in Charleston, South Carolina where she featured reworked vintage finds, Southern textile designers and local artists + artisan’s work. Customers found inspiration from her showroom and her artful styling caught the eye of Traditional Home editors. 

In her spare time,  Sidney can be found at a flea market, out on the water or in her art studio painting or making jewelry. Each piece Sidney creates is an experiment of colors, shapes and textures inspired by the coastal landscape that surrounds her or that she devours on her many travels. Sidney often combines bold geometric patterns and vivid, unexpected color combinations in her work. In 2022, she started selling these original creations, one-of-a-kind designs as well as her vintage finds through SWD.

Sidney currently lives in Beaufort, South Carolina with her husband and studio mate/black lab, Charley.
