SIDNEY WAGNER MCCLINTON

Sidney Wagner McClinton is a contemporary artist whose work is filled with vivid and evocative combinations of color. She draws inspiration from her travels as well as the coastal landscape of The Sea Islands in which she calls home.

Discovering shapes and patterns in nature and reinterpreting them into bold pieces filled with saturated color has become Sidney’s signature. A favorite of designers and collectors alike, Sidney’s vibrant pieces complement all interior styles, from traditional to modern. 

Sidney’s art exploration began as a young child drawing and painting, creating fake fashion collections, taking photos, making jewelry, and dabbling in anything else creative she could get her hands on! 

While continuing her art education and building her creative confidence, Sidney worked for a few years as a graphic artist in Atlanta, Georgia before embarking on a successful twenty year career as an interior designer, stylist and shop owner in Charleston, South Carolina. 

Sidney currently lives in Beaufort, a small coastal town in South Carolina, with her husband and studio assistant/black lab, Charley.
